Google Analyticator 6.1.3 Released

Google Analyticator 6.1.3 has just been released. Those of you having issues with the dashboard widget, I highly recommend this update. I believe I resolved the issue for most of you.

  1. Thanks for your amazing work. I have a question. Someone directly accessed to the file “/my_wp_installation_directory/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/external-tracking.min.js?ver=6.1.3″ and I found out that by my website access log. This guy is from russia and he’s not listed in the analytics statistics for my website. Was this guy trying to hack my site? Can I protect the access to this file via .htaccess rewrite rule?

    • I highly doubt that guy was trying to hack your website. The file you referenced is a static Javascript file. Viewing that file provides no insight into hacking a website. It’s essentially no different than looking at a text file.

  2. Hi, (1) Can I use your analytics plugin to track mailto: clicks from my web site with word press? (2) Do I need to do something to set that up, or just cenable event tracking and mailto will be tracked? (3) Can I track the mailto clicks uniquely, so each different email address tracks on its own so i can see who is getting the most clicks? Thank you. kevin
